the winds, the tides, gravitation,
we shall harness for God the energies of love.
And, on that day,
for the second time in the history of the world,
man will have discovered fire."
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.J.,
Le Phénomène Humain (1955)
Your most powerful tool is right there within your beautiful mind, very much within your own personal control. You are a powerful creator, a divine initiator of life and change. You were created with the single most powerful, most effective and most creative gift. You are more magnificent than you realize. You are perfect. You are a wise and creative thinking being and within your ingenious mind is the seed for new life - your own new life and the new life of the entire world.
That seed, which sleeps quietly within your mind today, can be awakened and empowered simply by your intention to think it awake. You can think peace. You can think love or you can think thoughts of apocalypse, end times, death, destruction. It is your choice.
That seed, which sleeps quietly within your mind today, can be awakened and empowered simply by your intention to think it awake. You can think peace. You can think love or you can think thoughts of apocalypse, end times, death, destruction. It is your choice.
When you choose to think thoughts of fear, you are intending powerlessness. When you choose to think larger thoughts, more powerful, more creative thoughts which surmount those of fear, that rise above the news broadcasts that bombard the airwaves and our minds everyday, you choose to reach for something larger, more alive, more creative, filled with more possibility, more holy, more hopeful.
When you choose to seek God's illumination for our times, rather than the dim oppressively fear-based thoughts of control and destruction, you will receive God's illumination, God's wisdom, the wisdom of life, of eternal life, of resurrected life, of healing, of evolution, and you will discover a new way of being human on our Earth. The old must pass away in order for the new to be born. The human race seems to have reached the end of its long and often violent gestation and is in the birthing process of a new and liberated collective self. In order to become the fully realized, life-filled, empowered race of beings, filled with compassion and creative life which is our ultimate destiny, we must pass through the birthing pains of these tumultuous times.
The future is radiantly beautiful. It is the New Jerusalem, the new hope, the free human race in which intention rules over the dark fears of a controlled, oppressed, spiritually-asleep species, who we once were, a dry place we are lumbering out of, that archetypal Plato's cave in which we've been sleeping for eons.
Out of that long dark sleep, we are now awakening. It is as if the entire world is waking up, throwing off the shackles that have bound us by fear and left us stuck in ignorance, powerlessness. We are waking up and woe to our oppressors. It is time that we all wake up.
At the same time our Planet Earth, along with our entire solar system, is orbiting closer toward the central Sun. We are literally riding out of darkness toward the spiritual light at the center of our galaxy. The yogis say that if the human race can survive these years, we will move into a very highly charged creative spiritual time, a golden age. If we can reach for the power and light of authentic love within us, reach for our purest intentions and hold on to what is good, beautiful, holy, lovely, healing and loving - literally hold on to the holy for dear life through these next decades, we will survive. Our Earth will survive.
We were not created to make money or acquire objects or stagger away our years here in wealth, power and control. We are all here for our individual and collective spiritual evolution, to grow in our ability to love, to create and evolve into a higher state of spiritual being. It seems the human being has finally come to realize, in the gorgeous words of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (Le Phénomène Humain, 1955), "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience."
I feel it is essential that we all remember and remind each other of our innate divinity through our thoughts and treatment of each other. As spiritual beings, we can choose to look beyond what looks like destruction all around us and seek deep within our hearts, minds and imaginations for the power to focus our minds on highly enlightened, wise and loving intentions for our planet.
We are no longer individual countries, or races or cultures. We never were, really. We are one human species and we are our brother's keepers. We are so incredibly interconnected that the heinous death of even one person in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria affects us all. We are only as strong as our weakest brother or sister. If we can hold thoughts of love, despite what looks like destruction, devastation and evil, we can - all together - overcome that fear of oppression and strengthen the weak, empower the poor, liberate the oppressed and heal our collective spiritual vision.
This next may sound new to the neo-saavy scientific-minded out there, but the Earth is heating up after all. While global warming is real, scientists have detected that all the other planets in our solar system are also heating up. Although we certainly should remain environmentally responsible, we are not completely responsible for the earthquakes, tsunamis, melting polar ice caps. It almost seems that as the Earth is changing, we as a people are changing axiomatically. It is almost a tandem action, as the planet changes in its orbit closer to the center of the galaxy, that increased spiritual "light" is igniting an intensified birthing process into our heightened state of being more highly evolved spiritually. We are reaching a greater degree of divinity.
While we are not responsible for the Earth's transfer closer to the center of the galaxy, we are responsible for our fear, our primitive enslavement of our own limited mindscapes and those of others, for our cruelty, for our ignorance, for our lazy thinking patterns.
If we choose to think thoughts of love, rather than fear, the power of God's love will fill our minds, lift our spirits, inspire our heavy resigned spirits with new energy, with new hope, revitalize each and every one of us and lift us into a changed and healed world. This is my hope. This is my vision and I invite us all to enter into a personal covenant of change and healing for our planet which begins right there, right here, within our incredibly vibrant and powerful minds.
We can look at the world changes through the lens of an archaic Mayan calendar, which is a terrible end-of-the-ages world view, or we can look at the current world changes through the lens of the Resurrection, though the lens of a re-birthing of our world which is moving out of darkness, out of oppression and limitation, into an open and unending on-going living which calls for casting off our tomb-like cocoons of limitation in which the human species has been incubating for millennia and rise up and live into the magnificent spiritual beings for which our great creator made us from the beginning.
One world view leads to fear and death, the other leads to hope, faith and new life. It's your choice which view you choose to embrace. As for me, I choose the Resurrection. For me, it's the only life worth living.
This is a wonderful thought on a profound reality that we often fail to embrace. The awesome, infinite power within our hearts and minds to radiate love or its opposite, fear, is a constant decision of daily living. It has been a while between postings and so this concept must have been germinating, waiting for a Spring blossoming. Thank you.
